| 11 | Hola Angus, What a lovely surprise receiving your email so quickly. Is there any one in the family who can help us find out more regarding Johanna O'Bryan? My sisters and I would like to know more. You probably have the marriage certificates for Charles and Johanna O'Bryan. Charles father was Samuel Townley (deceased at the time of their marriage) and is listed as a Dock Labourer. When Alfred Townley married Annie Amos (my grandparents) his father Charles Henry Townley was a Shopkeeper living in Llanbradach. Both Alred and Annie lived in Llanbradach. Alfred and Ann Townley had 4 daughters and 1 son. Harry Townley died at 5 hours old and Agnes Townley died when she was 4 years old. The other girls were Beatrice, Edith and my mother Gwyneth. Beatrice had 1 daughter, Edith had 2 boys and 1 girl and my mother Gwyneth had 3 girls and 1 boy. Alfred Townley died on 23rd May 1915 and my mother was born on 6th September 1915 the same year. He was a passenger on a Miners day outing on Whit Monday in a charabanc. Unfortunately there was an accident and Alfred's head accidentally struck a telegraph post and had a fracture of the skull. He died instantaneously. He was only 25 years old and a Collier. Does any one in the family have any other photos of Alfred or his father Charles? I saw the photo of Nelson and his family. I will have another look at your site to see if I can add more information but am not very good with the computer and I think emails are as far as I go. So any information at all would be so good to have. God bless from your fourth cousin removed. Hilary Robinson, Bolsover in Derbyshire | Amos Annie
